The knowledge product offers guidance on restoring riparian areas through the planting of various vegetation and their management via community participation. Its aim is to improve the implementation and coordination among organizations involved in the restoration efforts of riparian zones along the Narmada River and its tributaries, a model that can be replicated for other rivers across the country. The guidebook consists of a collection of 60 indigenous plant species identified through a community survey along the Narmada River.
