As part of the Inaugural Summit of the India Forum for Nature-based Solutions, a NbS Awards & Exhibition initiative was held. This involved an open call for applications for entries under three of the following categories:
- Implementation: Pilot projects, products or solutions that test new and innovative ways to design and implement urban NbS in Indian cities.
- Enablers: Research, data and analytics, governance structures and partnerships, technology or policy that enables NbS implementation
- Champions: Individuals or organisations that have been showing leadership, inspiring action and helping move the needle on urban NbS.
A total of 50+ applications were received in total, and 16 applicants were shortlisted to exhibit their work in the form of posters at the venue of the Summit. Further, the top two applications under each of the above-mentioned categories received an opportunity to showcase their work through a PechaKucha session. Finally, the winners (topmost applications) of each category were felicitated with the NbS Award.
