The knowledge product provides an overview of the need and techniques involved in the spatial mapping of green cover. It details out the geo spatial tools available to map green cover, the correlation between green cover and land surface temperature, among others. The knowledge product aims to assist city managers to calculate green cover spaces, its increasing/decreasing trends and identify the areas for priority and immediate actions with respect to depleting green cover.
